Having read and perused through the various sections of this comprehensive Civic Guide to the Internet, it is possible, or perhaps likely, that you have been left with more questions than answers. Indeed, if there is anything that this website has shown, it is that there are a myriad of paths to becoming a model citizen, and that the avenues toward shaping our surroundings are mired with endless intersections and digressions. Our website has outlined only a few of the most obvious ways of initiating the process of co-creation, which is the altering of our immediate or non-immediate surroundings in order to achieve a positive outcome.

But, through the exploration of the various means of co-creation, one can become overwhelmed and engulfed with doubt as to what the ultimate goal and purpose of such activities really is; the common cliche response, “to make the world a better place”, is a far from satisfactory reply that leaves much to be desired. Thus, this conclusion aspires to resolve any such doubt, and to quantify with clarity from what purposes and goals this website was wrought, providing a simple set of recommendations for you, the visitor, to follow, if you too wish to become not just a citizen, but a citizen co-creator.

Why did we create this website? From the start, our objective was to provide a truly comprehensive guide to the common person for achieving that nebulous goal, of “making the world a better place”. It is a common misconception, that one must be a multi-millionaire or billionaire philanthropist to change the world for the better. Instead, we wish to demonstrate that individual acts such as those detailed in this guide allow ordinary citizens to be heroes to their respective communities, whether that community is local, national, or global. This guide is not intended to saddle the visitor with lofty, unattainable goals; on the contrary, it has been tailored to reach all levels of capability. If someone used the advice in this guide to improve perhaps just a small piece of his or her surroundings, then we have fulfilled our mission.

Is there a greater purpose for such a website, outside of you, the visitor, and your life? We would like to emphasize that if this website does not help provide you with at least some outlet or idea going toward improving your personal world, we have failed. This website is only as valuable as the information it provides to visitors like you. Nevertheless, that being said, we wish to emphasize the tremendous power an ordinary citizen can wield in his or her community, if he or she has the right information. That is our statement to the world: that knowledge, or information, is power. We have provided the information. We have provided you with power.

All you have to do is take that power and wield it. A sword kept in the scabbard will not slay a dragon. How, you might ask? Start with the opening page of our website. Glance over it briefly. Guess what sort of citizen you might be. Sift through the sections. Check out the links. Take the quiz. At some point or another, you are bound to come across an organization or resource you were unaware of. An issue you care deeply about. A philosophy that had not occurred to you. When that happens-when that light bulb goes off-it is time to draw your sword. There are many dragons to slay.

If you still are unclear about how you can become a citizen dragon slayer-or citizen co-creator, as we like to call them-then read the Testimonials section. There, you can find some concrete, real-life examples of just some of the ways we came up with to co-create.

In the end, it is not about ending world hunger or ensuring everlasting world peace. Those are some of the lofty, unattainable goals we mentioned earlier. Co-creation is not lofty. Co-creation is highly attainable. Co-creation is about pulling up your sleeves and getting knee-deep in a problem-any problem-and helping out. As simple as that sounds, that is all co-creation takes. You live somewhere that has problems. You know someone with problems. Help them. Co Create. Stop sitting and reading this letter. Go!

Sincerely (hoping you’ve gone off to co-create by now),
Fellow Co-creators of the World
